An open gap prevents cold protection at the window
Heat is always lost through open windows, and the cold gets in. A small gap is all it takes to have a perceptible effect on the room temperature. Particularly in winter, a leaky window – no matter how small the opening – requires constant heating. The negative effect of a permanently incorrectly closed window is that you have to have the heating on all the time, so that the incoming cold air does not cause discomfort.
Although you have actually done all that is required from your point of view – the heating is on and the window is closed – the room temperature only increases very slowly and it takes a long time to reach the desired level. This could be caused by one or more poorly sealed windows.
Eco-lock® ensures that the window provides cold protection
Thanks to eco-lock®, there is an end-to-end spring tension in the closing system which guarantees permanent cold protection provided by the window. This is because the aforementioned tension generates a reliable contact pressure which leaves no room for any flow.
So once you have sealed your frame and the heating is on, you can look forward to a warm and cosy room and balanced warmth in your home as you have a right to expect. If cold air should get in somewhere, at least you can be sure it's not down to leaky windows!
In addition to this, we promise you additional protection against windows which are warped by external heat or cold in the future with our system. Warping of windows is usually attributable to the high temperature differences between the inside and outside of the installations. Eco-lock® is not influenced by this and is synonymous with long-term durability!
